Birth
The address is a recollection of William's entered on his 1942 draft card. An inspection of maps on www.philageohistory.com reveals that the residence still existed in 1910 mapping, but that is was gone by 1942 mapping when the expanding Black Diamond File Works consumed the entire block. The Interstate I-95 freeway, constructed in the 1970's, now passes directly overhead at the location of the former address and block, and the remainder of the block is vacant (2011).Occupation

This location has since been totally transformed. #675 was part of a building that had 4 street addresses, and several apartments or rooms within each address. This entire neighborhood was demolished to construct the Minnesota Capitol campus. Where the building was located is now the site of the Roy Wilkins Memorial on the Capitol grounds. As per the 1910 census, this is William's second marriage and Mary's first marriage. Their daughter Dorothy is not enumerated in the household. Dorothy had no children.Residence (family)
