Benjamin F Rush

The assignment of Benjamin to Michael Rush is pure speculation and the process of elimination. Some sources have Benjamin Rush assigned to Washington Rush, son of Michael. Based on the grave marker at Mt. Shepherd UMC, Washington was born in 1808. Benjamin was born in 1820 making this impossible. The 1870 census has Benjamin living in Randolph at age 50 confirming his date of birth to be in 1820. His grave marker shows a date of death of 1891, age 71 also confirming his age. PLUS he is buried two markers down from Michael Rush.
The 1850 census confirms that Benjamin F Rush is the son of Michael Rush. He, along with Rebecca Rush, age 19, who is his sister. Please see disclaimer for Rebecca.
