She was born on November 30, 1926, the daughter of Benjamin Ridge and Lillie Ann Tysinger. She married Jesse Elmer Ward on Sept. 23, 1944. They had been married seventy three years when he passed away.
They had one perfect son Danny Phillip Ward, who lives in Texas with his wife Sandra. Grace had two grandchildren, Danny Steven Ward of High Point and Jennifer Annette Osborne of Texas. She had seven great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
Grace and Elmer spent most of their lives living on Eugene Ave. They then lived together at Skeet Club Manor for four sweet years. Grace has recently moved to Shannon Gray long term care facility in Jamestown. She was a member of High Point Friends Meeting.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. Randy Quait officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
