Leona Mae Peacock age 89, of Asheboro died Monday, July 2, 2001 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Mrs. Peacock was the daughter to the late James and the late Carrie (Kinley) Miller. She was a native of Randolph County and a lifetime member of Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church where she was active in the Methodist Womens Society. She was retired from the hosiery industry and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Jones A. Peacock of Asheboro, NC; son: Jerry Peacock of Trinity, NC; son: Darrell Peacock of Jupiter, FL; 2 grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; brother: Hal Miller of Asheboro, NC; sister: Betty West of Asheboro, NC
Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2001, from 2-3 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
The funeral will be Thursday at 3:00 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Robin Dixon and the Rev. E. Lee Ellis officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro.
