Vickie Darlene Curry Parrish, 67, a resident of Thomasville passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at her home. She was born on February 22, 1951 in Davidson County to the late Charles Curry and Ruby Kinley Curry. Vickie was owner/operator of Shear Creation in Thomasville where she cut hair for many years. She was a member of Johnsontown United Methodist Church where she was apart of the United Methodist Women and held several positions within the church. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Jerry Paul Parrish of the home; two daughters, Tricia Bowers and husband Keith of Archdale and Tonya Summey and husband Harold of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Evan Bowers of Blacksburg, VA and Bradley Bowers of Shallotte, NC; two sisters, Pat Allen and husband Earl of Thomasville and Debbie Draughn and husband Wayne of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Linda Parrish of Sophia; and fur-baby, Birtie. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the JC Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sidney Lanier and Rev. Eric Lineberry officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Johnsontown United Methodist Church Cemetery
