Gilbert Walton Bill Gallimore, age 84, of 5610 Gallimore Town Rd., Trinity, went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2006 at his home with his family at his side.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Smith and Rev. Lee Roy Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gallimore was born April 6, 1922 in Randolph County where he lived all his life and on April 20, 1945 married Mary Barnes. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Pope Green Sunday School class. Mr. Gallimore enjoyed going to church and always said it was not Sunday unless you went to church. He was a retired farmer who loved his garden and working outside. For years he supplied beef to local grocery stores. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Sue Gallimore, his mother, Eliza Jane Hunt, brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Patty Hunt, sister, Doris Hawks and brother, Ray Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Barnes Gallimore; his loving daughter Linda Hall and her husband Ed of Trinity, NC; brothers, Rev. Lee Roy Hunt of Asheboro, NC, Wade Hunt of Asheboro, NC, Richard Hunt of Asheboro, NC, Kenneth Hunt of Trinity, NC; sisters, Edith Pierce of Asheboro, NC, Nancy Harvell of Asheboro, NC, Coleen Tolly of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Alma Tyson of Asheboro, NC; special nephew, Danny Tyson of Asheboro, NC; special great nephew, Shannon Tyson of Asheboro, NC; special great niece, Sherry DeCausemaker of Siler City, NC; special little great great niece, Taylor DeCausemaker; special little great great nephew Cody DeCausemaker, and several other nieces, nephews, friends and his canine friend, Sugar.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 - 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at his home.
