Mrs. Eunice Hepler Lowder, 90, of East Holly Hill Road, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Eunice was born on March 12, 1928 in Davidson County to the late Luther Charles Hepler and Julia Ann Hill Hepler. She worked for many years for Thomasville Furniture. She loved gardening, watching birds in her garden and quilting. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Lowder; her brother, Luther Charles “LC” Hepler Jr. Surviving are her son, David Edward Lowder and partner Yvonne Carvalho of the home; her daughter, Lois Bates Lechleider and husband Robert of Charlotte; a sister, Jean Honeycutt of Albemarle; two brothers, Wilson Hepler and wife Jackie of Sumter, SC, Marshall Hepler and wife Carol of Thomasville; her grandson, Jason Bates and wife Lynn of MD; two great grandchildren, Julia Bates, Owen Bates. A gathering of friends will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the JC Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
