Death
Rev. James Walter Lilly, 74, a resident of Highway 311, died Friday afternoon, May 9, 2014 in the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.He was born December 5, 1939, in Randolph County, NC. a son of Marshall Hubern Lilly and Florence Edna Allred Lilly.
Rev. Lilly served as a Holiness Minister in the Triad area for many years. He was married July 25, 1964, to Doris Farlow Lilly, who survives of the home. Also surviving are daughters, Diane Spangler and husband Jeff of Thomasville and Carolyn Lane and husband Wade of Lexington; sons, James Lilly and wife Angela of Hutsonville, Ill., David Lilly and wife Dana of Lexington, NC, Tom Lilly and wife Danelle of Lexington and Tim Lilly and wife Rebecca of Jackson, MI; sisters, Elizabeth Frazier of South Carolina, Alma Matthews and husband Bill of Asheboro, Ila Flinchum and husband Fred of Kernersville, Iona Frazier and husband Bobby of Providence and Rachael Lilly of Randleman; brothers, Cletus Lilly and wife Nella and Earl Lilly and wife Virginia, both of Randleman and seventeen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, May 12, 2014 in Trinity Holiness Church 4997 Plainfield Rd. Sophia, NC 27350, with Rev. Tim Cole and Rev. Mike Stumbo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
