Death

Michael D. “Mike” Herring, 70, of Keystone, passed away Thursday evening, July 11, 2019. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 1 until 8 p.m., at the Bluffton Church of the Nazarene.  Services will be Wednesday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m., also at the church, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Jody Mounsey and Daniel Herring will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton. Born in Hartford City on Aug. 17, 1948, to Robert E. andBeverly J. (Briles) Herring; his father survives in Upland. He married Carol S. Tucker in Wells County at the Chester Center Church on Nov. 22, 1969; she survives. He was preceded in death by his mother. In addition to his father and wife, Mike is survived by two daughters, Christina (Chad) Yencer of Poneto and Shawna (Craig) Neuenschwander of Liberty Center; two sons, Daniel (Mandi) Herring of Decatur and Philip (Victoria) Herring of Marion; 13 grandchildren, Meghan, Jessica, and Jadyn Yencer, Madison, Payton, and Gavin Herring, Cheyenne, Aubree, Noah, Avery, and Ada Neuenschwander, and Logan and Nolan Herring; a sister, Susan (Bob) Southworth of Florida; a brother, David (Cheryl) Herring of Hamilton, Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
