Lillian Cleo "Cloie" Spencer Anderson, age 86, of Lexington passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House.
Mrs. Anderson was born October 17, 1928 in Asheboro to Robert and Lillian Spencer. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington where she served on many committees and did volunteer work. Mrs. Anderson was retired from Sealy Mattress and was an avid bridge player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jack Thomas Anderson, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue A. Corn and husband Charlie of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Carolyn A. Anderson of Lexington; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred S. Chrismon and husband Mel of Gibsonville, Betty S. Warren and husband Joe of Roseboro; brothers, Clay Spencer and wife Margaret of Winston- Salem, John D. Spencer and wife Wendy of Asheboro.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Main St., Lexington with Rev. Jamie Armstrong and Rev. Doug Rowe officiating. A private committal service will be held at Charlotte United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro.
