William Eston Bill Murray, age 92, of 1109 Hub Morris Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at his home. Mr. Murray was born February 11, 1913 in Alamance County NC the son of Frank and Katherine Hicks Murray.
He worked many years as a truck driver for Barnwell Brothers Trucking in Burlington, later he drove for Greyhound Bus Company in Washington, DC for 14 years. Mr. Murray was a 45 year member of the Operating Engineers Local # 77 in Washington, DC. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Rosa L. Yow Murray and three sons: W.J. Murray of Reno, NV, Donald Murray of Laurel, MD, George Murray of Asheboro, NC; step-daughter, Angie Harvey of Asheboro, NC; step-sons, Paul Moody, Jr.; Jeff Moody ; Michael Moody all of Asheboro, NC;; half brother, Robert Murray of Burlington, NC; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday April 11, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday April; 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Carl Ziegler officiating.
