Ralph Edgar Parrish, age 71, a resident of Old Hwy 64, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home. He was born in Davidson County on August 6, 1943, the son of Roy Edgar Parrish and Emma Jane Gordon Parrish. He owned and operated Roy’s Tire and Muffler and was a member of High Rock Baptist Church in Trinity. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Parrish Swaney; and brothers, Raymond Parrish and Donald Parrish.He was married to Wanda Floyd Parrish who survives of the home. Also surviving are daughters, Shanda Parrish Swaney of Lexington and Shaniel Lynn Parrish and Talynn Hill both of the home; son, Thad Ralph Parrish and wife Cassie of Lexington; sister, Shirley Rush of Charlotte; grandchildren, Candice Nobles, Jessica Swaney Scott and husband Jason, Haley Parrish and Chasen Parrish; and great grandchildren, Jaycie Scott, and Jurnee Scott.Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Walter’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Simpson, Rev. Darrell Summey, Rev. Brian Workman, Rev. Joe Smith and Mr. Shotty McElroy officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at J. C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville. Memorials may be directed to Walters Grove Baptist Church Academy, 2610 Cid Rd.
