Vernon Ray Parrish, age 67, of 2349 Garren Town Rd., Asheboro died Friday, March 11, 2005 at his home.
Mr. Parrish was born June 30, 1937, the son of the late Benjamin Carl and the late Mary (Miller) Parrish.
Mr. Parrish was a native of Randolph County and was a self employed handyman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther McDowell Parrish.
He is survived by three daughters: Peggy Parrish Boggs of Star, NC, Judy Parrish Marion of Troy, NC, Linda Parrish Dunn of Asheboro, NC; two sons: Johnny Ray Parrish of Asheboro, NC, Tony Lee Parrish of Asheboro, NC; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters: Esther Cox of Asheboro, NC, Hilda Robbins of Asheboro, NC and four brothers: Clegg Parrish of Asheboro, NC, Arthur Parrish of Asheboro, NC, L.C. Parrish of Asheboro, NC, Max Parrish of Seagrove, NC.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at his home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro with Rev. Ken McDowell officiating.
