Death
Karen L. Mullenix, 74, Fowlerton, passed away at 4:27 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Marion General Hospital in Marion. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. S. C. St., Gas City, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Karen's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Curtis Rhoadarmer officiating. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, November 4, 1947, to William and Marianne (Morris) Briles. On June 12, 1970, she married Richard H. Mullenix and he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Chris Briles. Survivors include her husband, Richard H. Mullenix of Fowlerton; daughter, Lori Mullenix; son, Kelly (Jennifer) Mullenix; grandchildren, Derek (Samantha) Barksdale, Haley Mullenix, Kiler Mullenix, Zachary Spence, Summer Spence, Lilianna Mullenix; great-grandchildren, Jonathon and Adrienne; siblings, Pamela Lighthall of Merrit Island, FL, Wanda (Mike) Daugherty, Bill (Mary) Briles, Jill (Mike) Gray; along with numerous nieces and nephews.Endnotes
