Bowden W. Robbins, age 87, of 1494 Asheboro died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Amity Hills Baptist Church, 4140 U.S. Hwy 64 W., Asheboro with Rev. Barry Wall and Rev. Jonathan Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Robbins was born on September 28, 1923 in Randolph County to Everette McKinley and Corrina Barnes Robbins. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a self-employed contractor for over 50 years. He was a member of Amity Hills Baptist Church, where he was a past Trustee and former Head Usher. Bowden was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bynum Robbins and Waylon Robbins, Sr., his sister Larue Johnson, and his great grandchild Morgan Grant.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
