Death
Odis Baxter Walker, 96, of Archdale, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Hospice Home at High Point. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Deep River Church of Christ with Evangelist David Galloway and Evangelist John Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Born June 29, 1922, in Randolph, County, he was a son of the late Robert Walker and the late Eula Rush Walker. Mr. Walker is survived by his children, James Leroy Walker and wife Cathy of Trinity, Judi Farlow and husband Joel of Trinity, Keith Morris and wife Judy of Tennessee, Brenda Luther of High Point, and Glenda Voigt and husband Robert of Wake Forest; brother, Jackie Walker and wife Priscilla of Trinity; sister, Ruth Wall and husband Melton of Randleman; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Morris Walker; daughter, Diane Amos; and nine brothers.Endnotes
