In Dr. Bangs book on Dr. Phineas F. Bresee on page 37 states that Melinda Olmstead was probably the daughter of Stephen Olmstead who's wife was a Bresee. This Stephen Olmstead was the co-administrator of the estate of Jeremiah Bresee
