Individual Details

Rev. Clarence James Kinne

(12 Dec 1869 - 19 Oct 1932)

Rev. Kinne was the first Publishing Agent of the Nazarene Church and established the Nazarene Publishing House in Kansas City. He was also responsible for the building of the Bresee Memorial Hospital in Taiming-fu (Tamingfu), China which was completed some time after his 1927 marriage to Susan Bresee.

Headstone for him in the Bresee plot, Evergreen Cemetery, East Los Angeles appears to be in error in that his middle initial is shown as "E" but is documented in Nazarene Church material and in Dr. Bangs book as Clarence J. Kinne.
