Emigration
"One Bassett family in America: with all connections in America and many in Great Britain and France, etc" by Buell Burdett Bassette, dated 1926, found at Heritage Quest Online, page 768. The Rev. John Warham Company left England 30 Mar 1630 on the Mary & John, the second of 17 ships to sail to America 1629-1630, with 140 Pilgrims including the Vore family. These pilgrims were from Devon, Dorset and Somerset Counties of England. On 30 May 1630, the ship Mary & John arrives at Nantasket from which port the whole company repair at once to Dorchester. The size of family brought over by Richard Vore is not known, though probably two children were in the party. If only two, it would mean that the third child Sarah was born at Dorchester, since we know that only Abigail was born in Windsor, CT.Residence
