Jehue Burr III

(1625 - 1631 - 1692)

From the "Families of Old Fairfield, CT" found at NEHGS, page 305: Samuel Hubbell, Jr. married Elizabeth, with whom he renewed Covenant at Fairfield Church, 19 May 1695. She was quite likely daughter of the second Jehu Burr, and sister of Hon. Peter and aunt of Thaddeus Burr, an identification suggested by the recurrence of the names Peter and Thaddeus among her grandchildren. Furthermore, he (Samuel Hubbell) acted in a fiduciary capacity for Mary, the orphan daughter of Samuel and Mary ( Burr) Wakeman, whose mother was sister of Elizabeth Burr.
