Margaret's last name at birth is unknown. Some Internet genealogies identify her as Margaret Bayl(e)y, daughter of William Bayly of Westbury, Gloucester, England, but no records support this identification. The 1614 will of William Bayly of Westbury is said to refer to John Warren as "now husband of my daughter Margaret" (see http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~sam/warwills2.html and http://bigelowsociety.com/rod/warren1.htm), but there is no basis for concluding that the John Warren who married Margaret of Westbury was the same John Warren who lived in Nayland, Sussex (100+ miles distant from Westbury).
