1873 death is per the Free BMD as Aston 6d 245 3rd Qt age 67 - should get death certificate and needs confirmation.

1858 marriage certificate for his son, John and Emma Holder, shows he was a brass founder. The same year he married again per Free BMD: Aston 6D 402 4th Qt 1858 - should get copy of marriage certificate to confirm.

1851 census shows the family living at 28 1/2 New Church St., Birmingham with him as age 45 (born 1806) and a brass founder. The census also adds children William Wallace age 15 and Emielia age 11 from dead wife Sarah plus new wife Eliza age 50 with child Ambrose age 3.

1842-1848 he may have married Eliza, after the death of wife Sarah and before the birth of Eliza's first child in 1848.

1842 Sarah, his first wife, dies while the family was living in the Lady Wood dist., Birmingham.

1841 census shows the family living on Cottage, Lady Wood district, Birmingham. He is 35 (born 1806) and a brass founder. The family included his wife, Sarah, son William age 13, daughters Ann age 10, and Maria age 8. A William Stagg, a button burnisher age 30 and his wife, Sarah, age 30, were living next door with their family. William may be his brother.

1837 christening of his son, Robert, was confirmed by review of the Parish Register which showed the family living on New Town Row, Birmingham.

1835 christening of his son, John, is from review of the Bishop's Transcripts which shows the family living on Cottage Lane.

1828 christening of his son, William, is from review of the Bishop's Transcripts which shows him as a brass founder and living on Hill St.

1827 marriage to Sarah Barnsley is from the IGI and was confirmed by review of the Bishop's Transcripts. George Barnsley and Ann Barnsley were present at the wedding.

1806 christening for him is from the IGI and confirmed by review of the St. Philips Church records which shows the parents as William and Nancy Stag (film 813713).
