Birth
The World War I draft registration dated 12 September 1918 gives his age as 45 years and his date of birth as 24 January 1876. If he were 45 in 1918, he would have been born in 1873.Marriage
The application for the marriage license is dated 30 January 1895 but the return shows they were married 2 January 1895. Joseph's obituary states they were married 2 February 1895. This is probably the correct date since the return cannot be earlier than the date of the marriage license. Evidently the minister filled in January rather than February.Endnotes
