The Civil War pension file for Geoge L. Bowser and his widow, Mary A. Bowser, is not available at the National Archives. After three requests were made for this file while I was there from 11 through 13 June 2019, a search was made for the file by an archivist who said they do not have the file. He could not account for why it was missing.Endnotes
