Their marriage date is based on the birthdate of their oldest child. The sponsors at the births of some of their children support that Maria Elisabeth Batdorf married Simon Koppenheffer.Probate
His will names his wife Lovice and names the following children: Martin; Simon; Michael; John; Benjamin; Catharine, the wife of Abram Rankin; Barbara, the wife of George McDavit, and Elizabeth, the wife of John Sands. He names his sons Michael and Martin as his executors. His son Martin is to receive his two plantations and is to care for his wife as long as she remains his widow. He is to pay his brothers 5 pounds each in addition to what their father has already given them. He is to pay each of his sisters twenty five pounds each. It is not known if Lovice is a second wife or a nickname for his first wife.Endnotes
