Jacob Bash was entitiled to 150 acres of a 400 acre tract since he settled on it and made the required improvements under a 1792 Pennsylvania land law. His grandson Samuel W. Drips was entitled to one fifth of this "as an heir at law of Elizabeth Drips formerly Elizabeth Bash who was a daughter and heir at law of the said Jacob Bash decd."Endnotes
