Susannah "Susan"

Many online sources have her a Susannah Hubbard (b.12 Jul 1755), daughter of Israel Hobart/Hubbard and Anna Lawrence. Seems uncharacteristic that someone from MA would marry someone in NC. We can eliminate Susannah the daughter of Israel and Anna (Lawrence) Hubbard as being the wife of Phillip John Prater. That is the Susannah who was born 12 Jul 1755, but in Groton MA per the Groton vital records  http://ma-vitalrecords.org/MA/Middlesex/Groton/BirthsH.shtml#HOBART. But she died as an infant, also in Groton on 17 Mar 1756. http://ma-vitalrecords.org/MA/Middlesex/Groton/DeathsH.shtml#HOBART . I think rather that there is a chance that Susannah may actually be from this cousin's line, who is James HOBART.
