After his mother and brothers/sisters went to SC c.1768, Thomasevidently stayed behind to farm the parental land. This he sold in
Nov.,1773, and is shown purchasing land four months later on 14 Mar
1774 in Newberry Co., which later became Laurens Co. (However, in 1806
he was living in Newberry Co.)
