A Wallace-Lewis Family: North Carolina to Georgia

This website memorializes my paternal ancestral lines. It begins with my grandparents and includes their ancestors and the known descendants of their ancestors.

The Wallace line came from Rutherford County, North Carolina, to Cobb County, Georgia, beginning about 1844. Harbird B. "Bird" Wallace is the first documented in Cobb County. His parents and siblings followed him, with the last sibling, Toliver Wallace, arriving with his family about 1866. The parents of Harbird and Toliver were James M. Wallace (1784-ca 1871) and Martha "Patsy" Eaves (ca 1784 - ca 1842). Many of this family still live in Cobb County.

The Lewis line came from Rockingham County, North Carolina, to Georgia, about 1801, beginning with Peter Tilman Lewis, a soldier of the Revolution.
